Thank you so much to everyone who came out to the Voicing Perspective opening night reception!

We had over 200 individuals present at the reception, and were honored by the presence of guests such as Peter Tabuns; representatives from the Toronto Arts Council, Reena, Holland Bloorview Kids Rehab, Community Living Toronto, Community Living Ontario, and MCSS.

Special thanks to Karen Chan, Assistant Deputy Minister of Community and Social Services, for coming out and demonstrating a commitment to creating inclusive spaces in the arts.

If you haven’t had a chance to visit the exhibit, Voicing Perspective will continue to run at The Gallery at the J until February 24, 2016.

Thank you to all of the artists for sharing their passion, artistry and self-expression with Toronto.

Voicing Perspective is a joint disability arts exhibit that features MNjcc’s Disability/Visibility exhibit (featuring local youth photographer with disabilities), and L’Arche International’s Songs of the Heart exhibit (featuring artists with intellectual disabilities from L’Arche communities around the world).
