Safeguarding procedures at L'Arche in Toronto
Safety and protection of all members and friends, or safeguarding, is important to us and is enshrined in the values of L’Arche. L’Arche Toronto is committed to protecting all of our members, with and without intellectual disabilities, from harm caused by any kind of abuse, violence, harassment or neglect. This commitment to promote a safe environment and culture is part of our mission: to honour the unique value of every human being.
Reporting a concern or submitting a complaint
We want all our members and stakeholders to speak up if they see or experience situations that are causing harm.
Please note that when you submit a complaint the link will take you to a form that goes to a third-party to review and send to L’Arche for processing. Complaints that are specific to L’Arche Toronto will go to a Regional Leader to be processed with the community.
